Alpharetta, GA – October 1, 2008 – Lorain County Community College (LCCC), a two-year Ohio public institution with over 11,000 students, today selected Cajana to provide full Application Incubation hosting for PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, and Campus Solutions in support of their implementation of these products. The college is implementing version 9.0 of these products concurrently, with the project scheduled to kick off later this month.
This initiative is also part of the statewide Higher Education Shared Services program recently launched by the University of Akron (UAkron). LCCC is the first institution to sign on as a customer of the Shared Services program. Cajana will be working closely with the UAkron team to ensure transition to their Shared Service Center at the appropriate time.
“We are anxious to move to the new technologies and become a part of the Shared Services program at Akron,” said David Weiser, CIO of LCCC and the project director. “When we shared our desired time-line with them, we found that they had not expected a college to sign up so fast and were not prepared to host our project. Cajana’s ability to provide turnkey hosting for PeopleSoft, along with their ability to provide the needed environments on such short notice, kept our initiative on track and avoided a potential delay of up to nine months.”
